European Commission’s Director for Aviation, DG MOVE Confirms Keynote Position

We are delighted to announce that Filip Cornelis, Director for Aviation, DG MOVE at the European Commission has confirmed his keynote position at Sustainable Aviation Futures Congress 2025.


Filip Cornelis has been the director for aviation at the European Commission’s department for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) since 2017. Prior to that, Cornelis was the head of unit for aviation safety from 2012 until 2016 and served as a head of unit for aviation security from 2010 to 2012. In 2008, he was appointed as leading member of the office of the Director General for Energy and Transport after joining the department in 2006.
